About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join a Good‑rated primary school in Watford from September. You will deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their full potential while contributing to a supportive, inclusive school community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver the Key Stage 2 curriculum for Year 5, ensuring high academic standards.
- Create a positive, safe learning environment that promotes both academic and personal development.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues, parents and support staff.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience in a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and effective classroom management.
- Passion for raising attainment and supporting every child.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Required skills
- Curriculum planning and delivery for Key Stage 2.
- Behaviour management techniques.
- Assessment and data‑driven instruction.
