Account Director – Medical Communications

About the role

Bioscript Group is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead a portfolio of medical communications accounts valued at up to £2.5 million. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery, ensuring client satisfaction while driving commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall client service, financial performance and project delivery for one or more accounts.
• Lead, coach and motivate the Client Services team, providing regular feedback.
• Meet financial targets, manage budgeting, tracking and forecasting, and contribute to annual forecasts.
• Monitor account performance indicators such as revenue and recoverability, proposing corrective actions when needed.
• Develop long‑term senior client relationships and identify organic growth opportunities.
• Lead new‑business initiatives, including pitches, RFI/RFP responses and credential presentations.
• Collaborate with the Portfolio Director on resource planning and account optimisation.
• Ensure smooth project execution, positive client interactions and team wellbeing on‑site.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing high‑value pharmaceutical or medical communications accounts.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting revenue targets.
• Excellent leadership and people‑management skills.
• Ability to understand client strategy and provide strategic input.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
