Arrears Executive – Mortgage Litigation

About the role

The Arrears Executive (Mortgage Litigation) will manage later arrears cases for motor finance and mortgages, ensuring fair treatment of customers and delivering appropriate outcomes. You will support operations leaders by handling customers in financial difficulty while meeting service level targets and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively service customer requests and manage later arrears cases for motor finance and mortgages.
• Prepare and file court documentation and identify the most suitable exit strategies for each case.
• Ensure compliance with FCA rules, including MCOB and CONC, and uphold company standards.
• Achieve departmental service levels and support customers experiencing financial difficulty.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to embed fair treatment principles throughout the process.

Required profile

• Strong litigation experience on secured loans, including motor finance repossessions.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and make sound decisions.
• Experience preparing court documentation and identifying exit strategies.
• Understanding of FCA regulatory obligations (MCOB, CONC).
• Ability to work within a structured rota and meet performance targets.
