Assistant Architectural Technician

About the role

Join Bloor Homes' Regional Design & Technical team in Hinckley and develop your career in architecture and design. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to the creation of high‑quality homes while gaining hands‑on experience in a family‑run housebuilding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare site plans and external works layouts.
• Submit and monitor Building Regulation applications.
• Update and maintain the drawing register system.
• Issue documents and drawings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Submit planning applications to discharge planning conditions.
• Prepare and submit robust detail applications.

Required profile

• Full driving licence.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• Previous experience in a technical department within a housing developer or similar environment.
• Minimum 5 GCSEs at grades A‑C (or equivalent Level 4 qualifications).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• General computer/IT literacy.
