Assistant Building Surveyor – London

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join our London team within a leading multi‑disciplinary construction consultancy. The role offers hands‑on project exposure across commercial and public sector portfolios, with regular site visits and clear progression towards professional qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior surveyors throughout the full project lifecycle, including surveys, reports and contract administration.
• Carry out measured surveys, condition surveys and access audits in line with statutory requirements.
• Assist with party wall and dilapidations instructions and contribute to design solutions.
• Monitor project financial performance using internal systems.
• Support client workloads, framework agreements and business development activities.

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently graduated with a BSc in Building Surveying.
• Strong interest in building surveying and ambition to achieve professional qualification.
• Excellent written communication and ability to produce clear, accurate reports.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and planning legislation.
• Collaborative and proactive attitude.
