Assistant Lettings Manager – Croydon (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Lettings Manager to support a busy independent estate agency in Croydon. You will play a pivotal role in the day‑to‑day operation of the lettings branch, helping to generate new business, manage landlord and tenant relationships, and drive the growth of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing the daily performance of the lettings department.
• Generate new business opportunities and secure property instructions from landlords.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants and prospective clients.
• Support negotiators in achieving individual and team targets through coaching and guidance.
• Negotiate tenancy terms and progress lettings to successful completion.
• Maintain high levels of customer service while ensuring compliance with lettings legislation and industry regulations.
• Support the Lettings Manager in driving branch performance and meeting business objectives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Assistant Lettings Manager, Senior Lettings Negotiator, Lettings Valuer or a similar residential lettings role.
• Proven track record of generating new business and winning instructions.
• Strong knowledge of the Croydon lettings market.
• Excellent valuation, negotiation and customer service abilities.
• Ability to build credibility and rapport with landlords, tenants and clients at all levels.
• Results‑driven with a commercial, target‑focused approach.
• Professional, motivated and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
