About the role

Greene King is hiring a permanent, full-time Assistant Manager for its Hungry Horse pub in Ower. The post sits at the heart of the management team, helping to keep a busy pub running smoothly and leading by example so that customers and team members have a great time. The weekly hours are listed as 45.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business and lead the business in their absence.
• Bring the brand to life by leading the team in delivering great experiences for customers.
• Act as a role model for the team and support training and development.
• Uphold brand standards and ensure customer and team safety at all times.

Required profile

• Passion for delivering great customer experiences.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to get the best out of people.
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt to challenges during a busy shift.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
• Eligibility to hold a Personal Licence, as the role may involve covering the business in the General Manager's absence; Greene King supports applicants in obtaining it.
