Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Warrington, supporting the delivery of high‑quality residential developments across the North West. You will work closely with the commercial, construction, technical and development teams, gaining exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of housebuilding projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of project budgets, cost plans and ongoing cost control.
• Support subcontractor procurement, tender analysis and preparation of subcontract orders.
• Help with valuations, payments, cost reporting and monitoring of project costs against forecasts.
• Contribute to monthly CVRs, commercial reporting and the management of variations, claims and final accounts.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, and work closely with site teams to maximise commercial performance.
• Visit developments across the North West as required to support project delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role, preferably within housebuilding or residential construction.
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Construction, or currently studying towards one.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive, commercially aware attitude and a genuine ambition to progress in the housebuilding sector.
• Full UK driving licence.
