About the role

Our client, a leading Building Services Design Consultancy, is expanding its Birmingham office and seeks an Associate Mechanical Director. You will lead the mechanical team, delivering complex, low‑carbon building projects from concept to completion while championing sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on HVAC, public health and sustainable building services design.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support business development and contribute to commercial proposals.
• Mentor and develop engineers at all levels.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive growth of the Birmingham office.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Mechanical Building Services Design consultancy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and manage client accounts.
• Commercial awareness with a track record of contributing to business growth.
• Chartered Engineer status or progress towards chartership (preferred).
• Passion for sustainable, energy‑efficient engineering solutions.
