Audit Director – EMEA Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB)

About the role

The Audit Director will join the EMEA Corporate & Investment Banking Internal Audit team, providing oversight of audit activities across the UK and wider European operations. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to assess and enhance risk management, governance, and control frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Verify the bank's controls and assess coverage, consistency, and functionality of risk control systems.
• Ensure compliance with FCA Principles for Business and other European regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk‑based assessments of BPCE Equipment Solutions activities in the UK, interpreting UK, French, and European banking regulations.
• Audit counter‑party risk management, credit commitments, IT system security, permanent controls, and accounting information.
• Lead allocated audits, produce high‑quality audit reports, scoping documents, and audit programs.
• Review working papers, audit files, and dashboards in line with BPCE Group Internal Audit policies.
• Follow up on recommendations and maintain ongoing business partnering throughout the recommendation lifecycle.
• Perform continuous monitoring, flag emerging risks, and promote audit methodology standards.
