Bilingual HR and Talent Officer (English/French)

About the role

Sightsavers is seeking a bilingual (English and French) HR and Talent Officer to join its HR Operations team. Working primarily from home in the UK, you will support the full employee lifecycle for around 850 staff worldwide, helping to attract, onboard, develop and retain talent.

Key responsibilities

• Design and launch recruitment campaigns that attract a diverse pool of candidates.
• Prepare contractual paperwork and manage employee onboarding, lifecycle activities and off‑boarding using HR systems.
• Respond to staff queries on HR systems promptly and constructively.
• Support HRIS software updates and lead knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Administer pay and benefits in collaboration with the payroll team.
• Deliver bilingual inductions and signpost reasonable adjustments.
• Collaborate with the HR Operations team to provide a proactive service to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Officer/Advisor or in a Talent Acquisition/Shared Services environment.
• Basic understanding of employment law relevant to Sightsavers’ locations.
• Strong organisational and service‑driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems creatively.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS and other HR software platforms.
• Familiarity with recruitment tools and processes.
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits administration systems.
