C++ Software Engineer – Modern C++ & Python

About the role

SII Group is looking for a Software Engineer with strong C++ and Python expertise to join a dynamic team delivering high‑quality software components for aerospace, defence, aviation and finance clients. You will work within an Agile environment, contributing to design, implementation and maintenance of robust solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver fully tested, maintainable C++ software components in line with defined objectives.
• Produce clear, traceable design specifications for new or modified functionality.
• Ensure development follows governance, secure coding practices and design‑review procedures.
• Report progress to the Software Lead and Delivery Manager, supporting team delivery goals.

Required profile

• Strong experience with modern C++ (C++17 minimum, C++20 preferred) and Python.
• Proven ability to develop test harnesses and automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Linux environments (RHEL 8.10+), multithreaded development and Agile Scrum practices.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Microsoft Office for technical documentation.
