CAD Technician

About the role

UHS Estates Ltd (UEL) is seeking a qualified CAD Technician to join its Building Information Team. You will work on the Trust’s property portfolio, creating and maintaining accurate as‑built CAD models for hospitals and related facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Capture, edit and maintain detailed CAD models of buildings, rooms, wards and plant spaces.
• Update mechanical, electrical, fire‑safety and other service drawings after capital projects or maintenance works.
• Produce feasibility drawings, graphical details and system schedules for new works.
• Support the annual space‑utilisation returns and keep the Planon facilities‑management system up to date.
• Contribute to the development and enrichment of the BIM environment and associated asset data.

Required profile

• Qualified CAD Technician with experience in the construction or facilities sector.
• Ability to work accurately with large sets of technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health‑and‑safety standards.
