Care Home Deputy Manager

About the role

Gold Care Homes is recruiting a Care Home Deputy Manager for its home in South Tottenham (Peregrine House). The post is full time, pays between £32,000 and £34,000 per year depending on experience, and acts as a shift team leader providing overall supervision and development of care staff.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Shift Team Leader and supervise and develop care staff, contributing to their training and serving as a role model
• Take part in personal and professional development and attend mandatory training
• Keep Gold Care standards and support systems running so they give positive outcomes for service users
• Monitor, audit and review the service and take corrective action where needed
• Assist the Home Manager with formal supervision and appraisals of staff and with ongoing informal assessment of their work
• Implement Gold Care's policies, procedures, legal requirements and codes of practice
• Help with recruitment, performance management and deployment of staff
• Liaise with and oversee maintenance contractors and promote the home and Gold Care with stakeholders, including the regulator, medical and social care professionals and the local community
• Promote the home professionally, maintain private bed occupancy and support corporate marketing
• Ensure all staff focus on excellent customer care, and carry out any other duties consistent with the business
