Class 1/LGV Driver – Heathrow Airport Landside Trucking

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Class 1/LGV1 driver to transport secure air freight and support cross‑dock operations at London Heathrow Airport. The role involves operating LGV vehicles on a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Transport secure air freight between locations across the UK and Ireland and service the Heathrow Airport cross‑dock.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle maintenance and ensure cargo is securely fastened during transit.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently, handling cargo with care.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and adhere to all safety and regulatory procedures.
• Work irregular shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, on a 12‑hour shift schedule.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1/LGV1 driver licence with a clean driving record (no more than 6 points) and at least two years LGV driving experience.
• Driver CPC licence (or willing to obtain).
• Full five‑year checkable work history in airport operations.
• Basic disclosure with no disqualifying convictions.
• Willingness to work 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern, including weekends.
