Commercial Account Manager

About the role

A leading independent market research agency, which works with top industry names to deliver insights that drive business decisions, is looking for a Commercial Account Manager in Newbury. The role suits someone who enjoys growing existing clients and bringing on new ones, thriving in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects alongside researchers, analysts and clients. The position is permanent, paid up to £50,000 plus a 20% bonus, with two days working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, account-based activity and targeted engagement with decision-makers.
• Manage client relationships, identifying retention, upselling, cross-selling and account growth opportunities while ensuring satisfaction.
• Own sales opportunities from qualification through proposal, negotiation, close, forecasting and project handover.

Required profile

• Experience in a market research agency, with a strong methodological understanding and client-focused research solution development.
• Proven sales experience managing relationships, generating opportunities, writing proposals, negotiating and achieving commercial targets.
• Commercially minded, proactive, resilient, organised and collaborative, motivated to build lasting client relationships.
