About the role
We are seeking a Computing Lecturer to join Carlisle College on a temporary, part‑time basis. You will deliver BTEC Computer Science and ICT programmes, helping learners develop essential digital literacy and achieve their qualifications.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver BTEC Computer Science / ICT lessons to learners.
- Support reading, writing and communication skills within the computing curriculum.
- Prepare students for examinations and assess their progress.
- Monitor and track learner achievement and provide feedback.
- Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Required profile
- Degree in ICT or Computer Science.
- Experience teaching ICT or Computer Science at BTEC or GCSE level.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
- Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of learners.
