Cooling Engineer – Critical Facilities & Data Centres

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cooling Engineer to maintain and optimise precision cooling systems for critical facilities, data centres and mission‑critical environments across Southern England. You will work on a variety of high‑performance chillers, refrigeration units and associated infrastructure, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precision cooling systems, chillers and related plant.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, electrical and control faults.
• Replace components such as fans, sensors and filters.
• Follow site safety procedures, permits and isolation processes.
• Produce clear service reports and customer recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience with cooling systems in critical environments.
• HVAC or Refrigeration qualification, or equivalent experience.
• F‑Gas Category 1 certification preferred.
• Full UK driving licence; CSCS card advantageous.

Required skills

• HVAC and refrigeration fault‑finding.
• Electrical troubleshooting and control systems knowledge.
• Familiarity with BMS and alarm management.
• Experience with precision cooling technologies from leading OEMs.
