Corporate Actions Specialist

About the role

Our client is seeking a Corporate Actions Specialist to join their Blackpool team. You will act as the subject‑matter expert for complex corporate action events, providing technical guidance and ensuring high‑quality processing across the function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical handling of non‑standard corporate actions such as tender offers, mergers, de‑mergers, re‑domiciliations and restructurings.
• Interpret issuer documentation, circulars and offer terms to determine processing requirements, client eligibility, instruction mechanics and settlement treatment.
• Provide escalation support for Operations, Front Office and Client Services on high‑risk or jurisdictionally sensitive events.
• Mentor and up‑skill operational staff through on‑the‑job coaching, technical walkthroughs and documentation support.
• Develop and maintain corporate actions procedures, guidance notes, FAQs and training materials.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in complex corporate actions within a UK or Channel Islands wealth‑management environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, jurisdictional and tax considerations affecting corporate actions.
• Experience in mentoring and knowledge transfer to operational teams.
• Ability to interpret detailed issuer documentation and translate it into actionable processing steps.
