Corporate M&A Associate (Energy and Natural Resources)

About the role

Hogan Lovells is recruiting a corporate M&A associate for its Energy and Natural Resources practice in London. The corporate and finance practice group covers the full range of corporate and M&A work, including public and private deals, joint ventures, strategic alliances, restructurings and complex commercial arrangements, domestic UK and cross-border, for clients across energy, natural resources and infrastructure. The role is 35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm, though additional hours may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Apply legal principles of your own practice area and maintain a working knowledge of other practice areas
• Manage projects so they are delivered on time to a high quality standard
• Stay up to date with legal developments and attend relevant training
• Build and maintain good client relationships, understanding their needs, sector and risks
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and support the wider practice
• Contribute to the management of the practice and help manage the firm's reputation

Required profile

• First-rate corporate M&A lawyer with experience in energy and natural resources, especially oil and gas and infrastructure transactions
• Experience in a top-tier firm is preferred
• Minimum 2.1 degree with excellent written communication and drafting skills
• Between three and five years post-qualification experience (or equivalent)
