Cut Over Lead

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Cut Over Lead to join our Transformation team on a fixed‑term contract. The role will be hybrid, with on‑site presence required during critical cut‑over periods, and will drive the end‑to‑end transition from project delivery to business‑as‑usual operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and agree on cut‑over principles and develop a coordinated plan across Data, Technical and Business streams.
• Create detailed cut‑over runbooks, checklists, decision logs and rollback procedures.
• Map dependencies, identify critical‑path activities and maintain a RAID log to mitigate risks.
• Establish governance, decision‑making authority and escalation paths for cut‑over execution.
• Provide command and control during cut‑over entry, trials and exit, including Go/No‑Go recommendations.
• Coordinate with BAU teams, release managers and business continuity groups to ensure environment availability and minimise disruption.
• Facilitate readiness meetings, communicate regularly with senior stakeholders and allocate resources for cut‑over windows.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of proven experience leading complex IT/business transformation cut‑overs.
• Project management background with certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP or Agile.
• Strong stakeholder management and command‑and‑control capabilities under pressure.
• Experience running cut‑over rehearsals, incorporating lessons learned and managing data migration, technical infrastructure and business change.
