Cyber Security Analyst – 6‑12 month contract

About the role

BAE Systems is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join its Air Cyber Risk & Governance team on a 6‑12 month contract. The role will support cyber assurance activities across digital systems and projects, ensuring security requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle. You will work three days per week on‑site in Warton, Preston.

Key responsibilities

• Support cyber assurance and governance activities.
• Coordinate assurance requests and approvals using Jira.
• Conduct initial cyber security assessments and pre‑triage activities.
• Assist stakeholders with security documentation and assurance processes.
• Coordinate reviews and maintain accurate audit documentation.
• Help manage cyber risk and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience in cyber security, governance, risk or assurance.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with documentation and compliance processes.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
