About the role
We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join O2 Business in Nelson. The role focuses on identifying, analysing and mitigating cyber threats to protect sensitive data and maintain system integrity.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to security alerts, escalations and incidents promptly.
- Oversee vulnerability scanning and validate patching effectiveness.
- Coordinate and support penetration testing initiatives.
- Monitor external threat sources and advise on emerging risks.
- Plan and execute patch management for internal systems and hardware.
- Recommend and assist with server hardening measures.
- Configure email and internet security solutions.
- Ensure security configurations comply with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
Required profile
- Experience working within a cyber security team.
- Involvement in project work, implementation and planning.
- Familiarity with vulnerability and exposure management processes.
