Distribution Centre Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Distribution Centre Supervisor to lead our Newcastle site, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient healthcare logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations, including route planning and depot dashboard maintenance.
• Oversee scanning processes and act as Distribution Centre Manager when required.
• Maintain high health‑and‑safety standards and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Monitor logistics systems such as Verilocation, TMS, Convey and Fleet Check.
• Produce operational performance reports and coordinate vehicle scheduling.
• Foster strong inter‑departmental relationships to optimise performance.
• Handle HR duties including absence, disciplinary actions and time‑and‑attendance records via iTrent.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team, analysing KPI data for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Proven experience in distribution centre or warehouse supervision, preferably in pharmaceutical/healthcare logistics.
• Ability to manage HR processes and lead a diverse team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with transport operational systems (Verilocation, TMS, Convey, Fleet Check).
• Familiarity with iTrent HR management system.
• Knowledge of CPC or advanced transport compliance procedures.
