Electro-Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Join a market‑leading engineering team in Cheltenham, designing and manufacturing high‑precision honing machines. The role involves building, wiring, testing and commissioning state‑of‑the‑art electro‑mechanical equipment both on‑site and at customer locations.

Key responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly and final build of machinery from detailed engineering documentation
• Assembly and wiring of electrical and control panels to specification
• Installation, testing and calibration of electrical components and control systems
• Commissioning of machines in‑house and at customer sites
• Fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of electro‑mechanical systems
• Ensuring compliance with technical, safety and quality standards

Required profile

• Recognised electrical qualification with experience in industrial electrical systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, wiring schematics and panel assembly
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings
• Competence with diagnostic tools, testing equipment and commissioning procedures
• Basic IT skills for reporting and configuration
• Minimum 2 years practical experience in electro‑mechanical engineering or machine assembly
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and commitment to high‑quality workmanship
