Employment Specialist – Maternity Cover (until Feb 2027)

About the role

This is a hybrid, fixed‑term position supporting neurodiverse individuals to either retain their current employment or secure new work. The role runs until February 2027 with the possibility of a short extension or permanent placement based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support to around 40 clients with ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia, Tourette’s or related conditions.
• Assist employed clients with workplace challenges, reasonable adjustments, and return‑to‑work processes.
• Guide unemployed clients through job searching, CV writing, interview preparation and career planning.
• Liaise with employers, job centres and local career fairs as needed.
• Maintain regular 1‑2‑1 sessions (approximately four per day) over a typical 3‑6 month support period.

Required profile

• Previous experience in employability, work coaching, employment advisory, recruitment, HR or a related support role.
• Familiarity with NHS, job centre referrals or self‑referral pathways.
• Ability to work flexibly across hybrid days and attend occasional onsite meetings.
