Engineering Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading UK manufacturer of high‑performance suspension systems for motorsport, automotive and motorcycle industries, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the day‑to‑day engineering and manufacturing operations at their modern facility in Witney.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and manufacturing activities to meet production targets, quality standards and delivery commitments.
• Manage, motivate and develop Team Leaders and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate bespoke customer orders, balancing workloads, labour resources and production schedules.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, workflows and production systems.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Stores, Design and Development teams to ensure timely availability of components and support new product introductions.
• Monitor manufacturing KPIs, implement corrective actions and maintain compliance with health & safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering and manufacturing teams in a high‑performance or precision‑manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control and quality assurance.
• Ability to develop people, manage change and deliver results against tight deadlines.
