About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Residential EFL Teacher to join our Exeter centre, delivering the ANGLO syllabus to teenage learners in a residential setting. You will create engaging, communicative lessons that develop speaking and listening skills while fostering a supportive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging English lessons for teenage students following the ANGLO curriculum.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a consistent ANGLO experience across all classes.
- Prepare weekly schemes of work, attendance registers and mark student work promptly.
- Select and adapt supplementary materials that respect students’ cultural backgrounds.
- Support students in presentations, excursions, cultural visits and project‑based activities.
- Maintain safeguarding and welfare standards, reporting any incidents to the Teaching Manager.
- Provide constructive feedback and complete academic reports for each student.
- Participate in briefings, meetings and CPD sessions as required.
Required profile
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- University degree plus a TEFL‑related qualification (e.g., CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, PGCE, 120‑hour TEFL course).
- Native or near‑native English fluency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team‑player attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain professionalism and adapt to change.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and high‑quality customer service.
Required skills
- TEFL certification (e.g., CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, PGCE).
