Facilities Maintenance Technician

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a facilities management team supporting one of the largest retail clients across a nationwide estate. The role is hands‑on, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of building‑fabric disciplines while ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned building‑fabric maintenance and repairs.
• Assess repair requirements and assist in preparing quotations.
• Complete detailed work documentation, including photographs, materials used and job reports.
• Manage tools, equipment and van stock to ensure availability.
• Maintain compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations and customer site procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Multi‑skilled experience across building‑fabric trades.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to accurately assess and estimate repair works.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Customer‑focused with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
