Field Service Engineer - Medical Diagnostics

About the role

Roche Diagnostics is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join its Central Customer-Centric Field Support Team in the UK, covering the Central Region of Wales, Wirral and East Anglia. The role supports customers' diagnostic systems and products, with the option of field-based assignments across the region or a focus on a designated customer base.

Key responsibilities

• Provide electro-mechanical hardware support, including routine proactive and reactive tasks and technical training.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electro-mechanical faults, using on-site support and remote diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance and generate reports to improve operational efficiency at customer sites.
• Train customers on the use of Roche diagnostic systems.
• Maintain administrative and regulatory documentation to ensure compliance.
• Build relationships with peers and key stakeholders and attend internal review meetings.

Required profile

• A degree or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is preferred; candidates with equivalent HNC/HND experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Extensive experience in the IVD industry delivering technical support.
• Resilient, adaptable and customer-focused, able to work under pressure in a team.

• Self-motivation and ability to mentor others through training and coaching.
