Finance & Tax Manager – Hybrid, Central London

About the role

This permanent, hybrid position is with an established private property group in Central London. Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with family shareholders, the role blends technical accounting, tax compliance and property finance responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the financial affairs of a portfolio of family‑owned entities.
• Prepare and review annual statutory accounts for the Group.
• Coordinate and submit corporate tax returns and quarterly VAT/income tax filings to HMRC.
• Oversee family personal tax compliance and liaise with external advisers.
• Support the implementation and ongoing management of the Group’s tax planning structure.
• Review work of the offshore finance team to ensure high‑quality reporting.
• Liaise with external accountants, tax advisers and other professional advisers.
• Assist the Finance Director with ad‑hoc projects and broader financial management.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with public‑practice training.
• Minimum four years post‑qualification experience, including tax work.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounts preparation and corporate tax compliance.
• Experience in the property sector or with owner‑managed/family businesses is highly desirable.
• Exposure to personal and property tax is an advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple entities.

Required skills

• Yardi property‑management software (or comparable financial systems).
