Financial Controller – 4‑Month Assignment

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Financial Controller to provide short‑term support to a leading private‑equity firm in London. The role runs for approximately 4‑5 months, starting in September, and offers the chance to work closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders on a variety of financial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial results for corporate entities and review outsourced provider work.
• Lead month‑end reporting and explain key variances to senior management.
• Prepare annual budgeting, forecasting and management fee calculations.
• Own balance‑sheet items, cash‑flow management and audit liaison.
• Manage and develop the finance team, including outsourced resources.
• Drive process improvement, automation and ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 6‑10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in private‑equity or asset‑management environments is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of multiple GAAPs and proven ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modelling and reporting.
