Financial Controller – Infrastructure & Construction

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Financial Controller to join a small, dynamic finance team in Central London. The role supports both the UK business and international infrastructure programmes, providing financial insight and control across complex, high‑value projects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in budgeting and forecasting cycles for the group.
• Perform monthly performance analysis, reviewing variances against budgets and actuals.
• Help implement new financial KPIs and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams on business‑management and performance‑monitoring tools.
• Deliver a swift, accurate monthly close and improve budget control.
• Prepare activity reports, P&L and cash‑flow monitoring for projects.
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring compliance with approved budgets.

Required profile

• Qualified ACCA or CIMA, or at finalist level with 4‑5 years of professional finance experience.
• Experience in the construction or development sector is highly desirable.
• Comfortable working in a small team (under 10) within a fast‑paced, project‑focused environment.
• Proven ability to own and deliver comprehensive management accounting packages (P&L, balance sheet, monthly variances).
