Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will join IMG’s Finance team in London, overseeing controllership for IMG Commercial entities across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa. This permanent, onsite role reports to the Senior Director – Finance Media and manages a small team of two direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the general ledger and ensure accounting practices comply with IMG policies.
• Lead period‑end accounting, quarterly reporting packs, transfer‑pricing calculations and tax submissions for multiple international entities.
• Coordinate with finance, legal, tax and treasury teams to guarantee accurate financial statements and appropriate accounting positions.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, budgeting processes and support the annual group audit.
• Provide leadership, training and supervision to the finance team to achieve collective goals.
• Manage relationships with third‑party advisors to obtain relevant advice for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Hands‑on finance experience with controllership responsibilities for multinational entities.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small finance team.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional finance, legal, tax and treasury partners.
• Experience preparing period‑end accounts, group reporting and supporting audits.
