Financial Controller

About the role

We are partnering with a leading global real estate organisation to hire a commercially focused Financial Controller for their London finance team on a permanent basis. This high‑profile position offers exposure to financial control, statutory reporting, audit management and business partnering across a complex, multi‑entity group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day financial control activities across a complex group structure.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Oversee statutory reporting and Companies House filings.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, including Deloitte.
• Support annual Group Audit and Half‑Year Audit processes.
• Review and prepare consolidated financial reporting under IFRS.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance processes.
• Partner with senior finance and operational stakeholders across the business.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives in reporting and control environments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting activities as required.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CA qualification.
• Strong financial control and technical accounting background.
• Proven experience managing statutory reporting and external audits.
• Extensive IFRS knowledge and group reporting experience.
• Experience in complex, multi‑entity organisations, preferably in real estate, property, infrastructure or other asset‑heavy sectors.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
