Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially‑minded Financial Controller to lead a talented finance team within a high‑growth luxury retail brand. This permanent, hybrid position offers real visibility and the chance to influence strategic decision‑making across UK and US operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team of four professionals.
• Own month‑end, year‑end, management reporting and audit processes.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance across UK and US operations.
• Drive process improvements, automation and ERP enhancements.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, consolidations, tax and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• 4–5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with excellent commercial awareness.
• Experience in retail, luxury, founder‑led or PE‑backed businesses is highly advantageous.
