Financial Controller – Renewable Energy Private Equity

About the role

Otto James Consulting is seeking a Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing renewable‑energy organisation in Wilmslow. The role follows a new private‑equity investment and will drive finance strategy, reporting and integration of growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial management reporting and develop a comprehensive reporting pack for senior stakeholders.
• Oversee statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ensure uniformity across divisions.
• Partner with senior managers to create KPIs for sales and operations and manage management accounts.
• Drive project‑based financial analysis, including capital‑expenditure decisions and new operational initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance of new business areas and improve financial processes and controls.
• Produce ad‑hoc reports and support the integration of acquired growth assets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance roles within fast‑growing or private‑equity‑backed organisations.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to influence senior non‑finance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to lead and develop finance teams, including hiring new staff.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial information.

• Salary range £86,500 – £97,000 per year.
