Fire Safety Adviser

About the role

Join Tetra Tech’s expanding Fire Safety team to deliver high‑quality fire risk assessments and shape fire safety strategy for a wide range of public and private sector buildings. You will work hands‑on on site, produce technical reports and collaborate with clients to implement practical fire safety solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Type 1–4 fire risk assessments and produce concise, actionable reports.
• Carry out compartmentation surveys and evaluate passive fire protection measures.
• Interpret current and emerging UK fire legislation and guidance to ensure compliance.
• Develop fire risk management plans and recommend remedial works.
• Engage with clients, facilities teams and contractors to communicate findings and support decision‑making.
• Contribute to team development and share knowledge as the practice grows.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a fast‑paced Fire Risk Assessor/Adviser.
• Membership of IFE or IFSM and registration on an approved assessor register (e.g., TFRAR).
• Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain UK security clearance.
• Desirable qualifications: Level 3/4 Fire Safety diplomas, Cert/DipFD, ASFP, or equivalent training.
