Food & Beverage Assistant – Hotel Bar & Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Food & Beverage Assistant to join the bar and restaurant team at a waterfront hotel in Manchester. You will help deliver excellent service to guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth operation throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages in the bar and restaurant areas.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu and available products.
• Handle all payment transactions accurately.
• Welcome guests, respond to queries and uphold hotel service standards.
• Keep the food and beverage areas clean and tidy at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food & beverage role, preferably within a quality hotel or restaurant.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Professional attitude and teamwork orientation.
• Must be over 18 years old and able to serve alcohol.
• Flexible availability for early mornings, late nights and weekend shifts.

Required skills

• Experience with the Micros point‑of‑sale system (advantageous).
