Frontend Engineer – Mobile & Web

About the role

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer who is passionate about building high‑performance, intuitive interfaces for both mobile and web applications. You will join Caledonia’s product team to turn complex financial tools into simple, user‑friendly experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces for mobile (React Native) and web (React) platforms.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers and backend engineers to deliver polished features.
• Maintain and extend a consistent design system and reusable component library.
• Optimise frontend performance across devices and browsers.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and implementation plans.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Own features from concept through deployment.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building frontend applications for mobile or web.
• Strong proficiency with React, React Native or comparable modern frontend frameworks.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards and performance best practices.
• Experience integrating APIs and working with backend services.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and ability to translate mockups into code.
• Clean, maintainable coding style and attention to detail.
• Comfort working in an agile, collaborative environment.
