GCSE German Tutor (1:1 support) – Kingston & Richmond

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated GCSE German tutor to provide one‑to‑one support for learners in Kingston and Richmond. This part‑time, term‑time position involves working directly with students from Early Years to KS4, helping them achieve their academic goals while addressing a range of special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE German curriculum in a face‑to‑face 1:1 setting.
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies and maintain a therapeutic learning environment.
• Conduct baseline academic and emotional assessments to tailor support.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and liaise with external professionals when required.
• Record attendance using the provided software and assist learners in transitions to mainstream or specialist settings.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching or tutoring children with SEND, SEMH, autism, or related needs.
• Background in education, youth work, or therapeutic settings; QTS or HLTA preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum two years of relevant UK experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Compassionate, dependable and proactive attitude.
