General Hotel Services Assistant (Band 2) – Devizes

About the role

The General Hotel Services Assistant provides essential cleaning and catering support across hospital wards and departments, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will join an established team delivering a full hotel services function within the NHS trust.

Key responsibilities

• Clean all hospital areas, including en‑suite bedrooms, bathrooms, day rooms, lounges, corridors, offices and other ward spaces.
• Prepare and serve lunch and evening meals, handle reheating of cook‑freeze meals, and create light snacks such as salads and sandwiches.
• Maintain kitchen and dining room hygiene, including washing up and associated cleaning tasks.
• Manage waste disposal and perform periodic cleaning duties such as carpet shampooing and curtain changing.

Required profile
