General Maintenance Handyperson – South London

About the role

Our client, a fully managed social housing provider, is seeking a mobile General Maintenance Handyperson to prepare homes and flats for new tenants across South London. You will work on a variety of routine repairs and treatments, ensuring properties are clean, safe, and ready for occupancy.

Key responsibilities

• Enter residential units and carry out general maintenance tasks.
• Repair door handles, fix cupboard doors, and address minor painting needs.
• Perform damp treatment and unblock toilets.
• Handle basic plumbing work such as replacing taps.
• Follow a calendar‑based job allocation system and complete tasks within a 30‑mile radius of Croydon.

Required profile

• Ability to travel to sites using your own vehicle (company contribution provided).
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
• Reliability and a proactive approach to scheduled work.
