Fire Door Installation Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fire Door Installation Technician to join a fast‑growing fire safety company in Croydon. The role involves working on residential, commercial and public‑sector sites, delivering high‑quality fire door installations, adjustments, repairs and maintenance in line with UK regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, adjust and repair fire doors, frames, seals, closers, hinges, glazing and ironmongery.
• Carry out remedial works and identify defects or compliance issues.
• Complete basic job records, photographs and reports as required.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, residents, site managers and the public.
• Maintain safe working practices and keep work areas tidy and secure.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in fire door installation, maintenance, inspection or remedial works.
• Valid FireQual qualification (desirable) and knowledge of UK fire door regulations.
• Own van, tools and a clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to work on an ongoing subcontracted basis and hold a current DBS check.
• Strong attention to detail and customer‑focused attitude.
