Graphic Designer – Medical Illustration (12‑month fixed term)

About the role

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our award‑winning Medical Illustration team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract (15 hours per week). You will help translate complex clinical information into clear, engaging visual content that supports patient care, education and service improvement across the Trust.

Key responsibilities

• Create high‑quality visual assets for print and digital formats, including patient information leaflets, illustrations, presentations and educational resources.
• Collaborate with photographers, videographers, clinicians and other non‑clinical staff to ensure visual solutions are accurate, accessible and impactful.
• Maintain consistency with brand guidelines while adapting designs for a variety of audiences and platforms.
• Contribute to the development of innovative communication materials for internal teams, external organisations and national projects.

Required profile

• Demonstrated creativity and strong visual communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in healthcare communication and the capacity to simplify complex information.
• Commitment to a part‑time, fixed‑term schedule.
