Group Reporting Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Group Reporting Manager to lead the consolidation and reporting function for a global engineering and industrial services business based in Knutsford. The role combines technical accounting expertise with leadership of a small finance team in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the group’s monthly, half‑year and annual consolidation cycles and produce insight‑driven financial reports.
• Prepare and file statutory accounts for the group and its UK subsidiaries.
• Manage, coach and develop a small team of accountants.
• Collaborate with FP&A on budgets, forecasts and long‑term planning.
• Enhance financial controls and reduce reporting risk.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during consolidation audits.
• Maintain up‑to‑date accounting policies in line with IFRS.
• Identify and implement opportunities to simplify and modernise reporting processes.

Required profile

• ACA qualification (or equivalent) with Big 4 training.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Hands‑on experience with statutory and management reporting at group or PLC level.
• Strong knowledge of financial control frameworks and IFRS.
• Track record of improving reporting processes and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
