Groups & Events Executive – Hotel

About the role

Join the Cluster Commercial Office of two iconic Edinburgh hotels as a Groups & Events Executive. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients organising meetings, conferences and social events, ensuring every detail meets the high standards of InterContinental and Kimpton brands.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and private clients through phone, email and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Capture accurate event requirements, produce written confirmations and detailed function sheets using the hotel’s in‑house reservation system.
• Proactively seek client feedback and generate new sales leads to grow the groups portfolio.
• Deliver exceptional service throughout the enquiry, booking and on‑site execution phases.
• Collaborate with internal departments (F&B, housekeeping, sales) to ensure seamless event delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience in groups, meetings or events sales within a hotel or destination venue.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a busy commercial team.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and comfortable handling multiple enquiries simultaneously.

Required skills

• Experience using hotel reservation and event management software.
