Head of Commercial Venues and Partnerships

About the role

This senior position will shape the commercial future of the London Borough of Hounslow. You will lead the development of income‑generating strategies across a diverse portfolio of venues, events, advertising, sponsorship, filming and commercial partnerships, building a new team and embedding new ways of working.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a commercial strategy that grows revenue from venues, events and partnership opportunities.
• Identify and secure high‑value partnerships and sponsorships, creating compelling commercial propositions.
• Lead and develop teams responsible for venue sales, event account management and contract management.
• Take direct responsibility for advertising and sponsorship sales.
• Work closely with senior leaders, elected members and external partners to position Hounslow as a destination for events and investment.
• Influence pricing strategies, shape new commercial products and negotiate strategic agreements.
• Use market intelligence to inform decisions and ensure commercial activity supports wider council ambitions around place‑making, culture, economic growth and social value.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in commercial strategy, venue or events management, or related partnership roles.
• Demonstrated ability to generate significant revenue and manage complex commercial contracts.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working with senior officials, elected members and external partners.
• Track record of building and leading high‑performing teams.
