Head of Finance

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Finance to lead the finance function for the UK and EMEA regions of a rapidly growing international services business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own accounting, financial reporting and treasury across multiple entities while partnering with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Full ownership of finance across five countries (circa £25 m), supporting strategic business growth.
• Oversee all finance activities including financial reporting, FP&A and treasury.
• Manage and develop a finance team of seven staff across the UK and in‑country locations.
• Own budgeting and forecasting processes and produce monthly management reports.
• Present financial performance and key insights to the executive leadership team.
• Manage statutory reporting, external audits and regulatory compliance for multiple entities.
• Drive improvements in financial controls, reporting processes and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with international finance teams to ensure consistency and best practice.
• Support acquisitions, business integration projects and other strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and strengthen existing finance processes.
• Act as the senior finance lead for the region, partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with experience in a growing SME/group environment.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Multi‑entity / international experience (beneficial but not essential).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial acumen.
• Experience improving finance processes and implementing more efficient ways of working.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders globally.
• Experience within a private‑equity environment (beneficial).
