Head of Mass Participation Fundraising

About the role

We are looking for an experienced fundraising leader to head a national mass‑participation and events programme for a leading UK health charity. Reporting to the Head of Regional Fundraising, you will shape strategy, grow income, and inspire supporters across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategy to increase mass‑participation and events fundraising income.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team of fundraising managers and officers.
• Create and manage a diverse portfolio of events and fundraising products.
• Identify, test and roll‑out new supporter acquisition and engagement opportunities.
• Manage budgets, income targets, KPIs and return‑on‑investment metrics.
• Use data and insight to inform planning and decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR and best practice.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners to maximise performance.

Required profile

• Proven track record of delivering fundraising or income‑generation targets.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people‑management experience.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts and performance metrics.
• Excellent project‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
